Buffalo Stampede

The Stampede won the Murphy Cup in their first season, 1994, going 15-3-4 with the Aud as home and sweeping the Portland Rage in the final. Coach Chris McSorley had won the 1993 title with Anaheim, which made him the coach of RHI's first two champions. When the Stampede folded after 1995, its players made up most of the Empire State Cobras' roster.
