Empire State Cobras

The Cobras moved from Phoenix to Glens Falls, New York, in 1996 with a roster built mostly from the 1994 champion Buffalo Stampede. Coached by former NHL forward Murray Eaves, they won the Atlantic Division at 16-7-5 and still drew the smallest crowds in the league. A year later the franchise moved to Buffalo as the Wings.
