Cleveland Monsters

The Monsters started in 2007 as the Lake Erie Monsters, named for Bessie, Lake Erie's lake monster of local legend. In June 2016 they won the Calder Cup with a sweep of the Hershey Bears, with Zach Werenski fresh out of college on the blue line, and two months later they became the Cleveland Monsters.
